This is the back of the rag quilt and it is a smooth finish. The squares are polo fleece and flannel and are alternating, so for every polo square there is a flannel on the back of it and vice versa.

Lovely back, don't know which I prefer, the rag side or this one. Nice work!

yes well that must be why I havent started the next one yet, but no not really. yes they do get a little sore after awhile. The next one I am going to do the same way as I put the border on so I have four rows to cut. It will look better then and that will mean more cutting. But I've worked out the secret to the cutting. Lucky for me it's only a lap quilt. lol. Hope you are feeling better, will see you soon.

What is the secret - do tell all?

sanjoy51 by sanjoy51 01 Jul 2009

you dont try to cut through all the layers at one time you split them and then run along to the end of the square on the top row and then come back on the bottom. The bottom row always feels faster. lol

Thank you Shirlene, it's a pitty that the polo wasn't of better quality not to stretch so much, but it should come in ok when it has a wash. I had to let it go before I could do that as it was cold and Mackenzie was wanting it. I'll fix it later.

I am sure it will work itself out - that is how we learn - isn't it?
