I decided to play around yesterday. :) I wanted to put a design on some soap for my Aunt and thought about cadebug's design of a perfume bottle. Once the design was in my machine I made it as small as my machine would allow because it was a little to large for the soap I had on hand. I used the heaviest WSS I have found and stitched. I didn't figure I could keep the perfume spray and would have to cut them off but I cut the WSS close as I could before putting in water. I dissolved the WSS like usual except around the spray. I left some WSS on to hopefully glue to the soap. It worked! I kept wetting my finger and going over the WSS until it either dissolved on smoothed into the soap. I did have to be careful to keep my finger soap free. Hee Hee. What do you think?

Thanks! I always have soap on hand so that I can make a quick gift. It is hard to find soap without a design engraved in it. I am always on the look out at specialty stores to keep them in stock.

tippi by tippi 28 Jun 2009

Speaking of putting your designs on glass. I have a frame that has double glass in it and I made a disign and cut it out and put in between the glass. I will take a picture of it and let you see it. Very nice looking.

i couldnt resist taking a peek with that kind of intro it is so classy
what kind of soap did you use, is it two bars?

dkjack by dkjack 28 Jun 2009

Thank you for peeking. :) I wanted cadebug to be sure and see her design being used. I bought the soap at a store called Bed and Bath in the USA. It is "Savonnettes Naturelles" brand. It is hard to find soap without large designs on them depicting their brand. This one has a small initial in the middle of the soap but can be covered up with the right designs. It has "ribbles" on the other side that I have also used with certain designs. It is longer and more narrow than a regular bar of soap.

thanks, i will look for it
