There were many quilting appeals run after Victoria's horrendous bushfires this year. A local quilter ran an appeal for quilt tops and to this date has had over 226 donated. She then machine quilts them and hand delivers to victims of the fires. The two I made went to the one family of 5 who, not only assisted neighbours, but also suffered considerably themselves. I received a beautiful thankyou card back from the family who chose my quilts letting me know how they are progressing and how thrilled they were with the quilts.
