These are great. I did hankies for a wedding 3 years ago. The bride asked that the initial be placed in the corner, and one was given for each family member attending the wedding. A good rememberence.

They came out beautiful. Those thin fabrics are not so easy. I use the H@)gone as well and I find if I use heavy starch It seems to help. Congratulations on a job well done, on a not so simple project.

Shirlene asked what I used cuz last week b-4 I started I asked in community...Misscharlie is the one who suggested that I get h2Ogone at the local wal mart...I DID, but used it doubled and had NO trouble....they are thinner than toilet paper!!!

blhamblen by blhamblen 20 May 2009

and I had to do 9 of them...some of her new family is albanian so the wording isn't familiar to me!

Barb, these are lovely - what did you use to work with this lightweight hankie?

The H2Ogone that Miss Charlie suggested from walmart..I did double it though!!!

shirlener88 by shirlener88 21 May 2009

Thank you for responding - of coarse - I didn't realize that the brand that Walmart carried was called H2OGone - as I use that and the WSS I have seen there is much thinner than the H2OGone that I have purchased - nonetheless - I knew that WSS would work the best for this - did you also starch the hankie before stitching?

blhamblen by blhamblen 21 May 2009

No but I think that some of the h2O wasn't completely GONE cuz the hankies ironed up sooo nice...I would do them again, and the bride told me she would tell her sister and friends!!
