One of my friends had this 5 headed snowman. She wanted me to somehow put her 5 grandchildren's names on it. The names could only be about 1/2 inch high and the strips about 3/4 inch high. I took red felt hooped it with stabilizer and embroidered the names. Then I took my rotary cutter and cut out the strips. I was surprised and pleased with how it turned out.

Even though the snow is gone and spring is almost here she said that she plans on displaying it for awhile anyway.

THANKS! I just gave it to my friend on Wed. the 18th. My friend just loved it! She plans on leaving it out on display even though it is now spring. I think this is strange as I was glad to get rid of all of my winter decor. But, she just loves her grandchildren. I need to come up with another idea for spring with her grandchildren's name on it.

Yes, I can understand that. I call it a snowman totem pole.

This is very cute! What are the snowman made out of? Is it paper mache?

Thanks. It appears to be either paper or possibly some thin material glued onto the round forms and then painted. It is not homemade though - it was purchased at a department store.

It is cute idea! If I only had enough time to try it with paper mache and see what happens.
