These are 6 baby blue tongue lizards. They were born yesterday. We didn't know ours was pregnant, so a big surprise. They are about 15cm or 6 inchs long.

Do you know this?
A lucky blue-tongued lizard can live for many years. Lizards in captivity have lived for as long as 20 years, and some in the wild may live for up to 30 years.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!

These are really great. I guess mama just got lonely, huh? I was surprised to read that they are born live. I thought all lizards layed eggs. Thanks for the educating me. H&*.

Wow, that really must have been a suprise. I don't think I would like a pet like this. We have chameleons all over the place, & blue tailed lizards but they r all around n the yards & flower beds. *4U

Really neat! My DD had a ball python. I liked everything about it except the feeding....I just couldn't do that part!

These eat snails and fruit and veg or dog food. I couldn't feed a snake either.

Oooh, lizards! I love me some lizards. Froggies too. I had a roommate that was freaked out about them, but I like 'em a lot. We had frogs/toads in the front yard and lizards in the back. It always made Genny squeal if I would pick one up and hold it, but I would do it anyway. Never got bit either. =]

How fantastic for you. We used to see a few in our backyard but have moved and find more bearded dragons here. You never have to worry about snails if you have lizards! We have also rescued a blue tongue that had been cut (probably by a mower). His mouth was badly damaged. Although he was very large he was docile when we picked him up. The wildlife people were going to try to reconstruct his mouth with fibreglass, but unfortunately he died. But didn't your babies hatch from eggs?

The comments alone are interesting from the other cutees... How exciting. It reminds me of when the russian dwarf hamsters produced. My daughter had been sold them as 2 males. We ended up with 14.

When the bys first got one I was horrified, They are alright now. They don't bite and a quite cute, in a lizard kind of way.

Not for this little "Black duck" I run a mile . Can't stand creepy crawly things. Night mares Glad the boys enjoy them . I hope you don't live near me. We have our own Lizards here . Frightens the life out of me too
