Thought you might like to see the latest "craft craze" around here. An old bowling ball, covered with those flat on one side stones you get in a bag from the Dollar Store, throw in a few small mirrors, and viola a great garden ornament. BTW the stones were attached with clear silicone caulk...

What a neat idea. Looks just like those glass globes but better.

This reminds me of the Disney show, Gameplan (I think that's the name of it) where the daughter does this to her dad's football. :-)

This is wild! I love the idea... Bet it looks great when the morning sun hits those glass rocks.

Neat idea. I have two balls that haven't been used since I was pregnant with my second son ...... long ago. :) I could do this and the squirrels and wind wouldn't knot it over. Could stay out year round too.

cool you can some times get bowling pins from the bowling ally the local one here has kids parties and the mount them on a block of wood and paint them in metalic paint add eyes etc and paint childs name on them and use them for door stops . one pid decorated like that ball you have there would look good to. you have my imagination buzzing.

An I bet that it would not blow off and break as so many of the gazing balls do around here.

I just have mine on a plastic pot turned upside down... Some of my girlfriends put theirs on fondue pot holders!
