Okay, this is what happens after hiking 2 trails... 1/4 way up the 3rd, Lancelot just quit on us. Stretched out and refused to move. The hubby had to pick him up and carry him part of the way back.... It's funny now but wasn't at the time. That was the best trail for pictures! Darn it! Oh well. My mom and almost 8 year niece thought it was hilarious!

He may have started to dehydrate. Be sure to take water for him, too! Poor baby. When you've had enough, you've had ENOUGH! Funny story.;)

I guess he isn't used to long walks and went on a strike. lol Dogs are just like kids. It's a good thing he isn't a great dane! *4u

Very funny. Glad it wasn't my dog, she weights 40 lbs. She is 14 years old and can still walk 3 miles 2 days a week (Saturday and Sundays).

Awwww! The sweetie! How far did you hike? My son and his wife did the same thing (hiking)this weekend with a MUCH larger dog, and he too was sooooo tired. What a fabulous friend your doggie is!!

We didn't think it was that far. Really it wasn't as bad as it seems. He has wsalked father on an average day for a regular walk! :)

My Mom and niece were not with us. I told them the tale by phone when I got home.... He plum plunked down in the middle of the trail! Can you believe it! Drank a ton of water.... Yup. We were up all night peeing! LOL
