I am wondering if anyone else has this problem or can help me. I have a large amount of embroidery designs in .pes format which I view with the embird software iconizer. But I find that when scrolling through my designs, I eventually get to a point where the images become blank squares and the computer stops responding. Sometimes the file shuts down spontaneously at this point and I am returned to the desktop. Is this because my design folder is too large to show everything or do I have some kind of bug? It is very frustrating to not be able to view all my designs at once. I am using windows 10 and my computer has 1.8tb of storage-more than enough.

Hi, I see from your profile that this is a ongoing problem? I am not familiar with Embird so personally cannot help. Did the reply from Meganne in your previous post help? Have you put this question to any group that is specifically for the softwear or to Embird itself as these are what I would try if the problem was mine. Good Luck and please let us know if you get the answer you require

I think my son did that for me awhile back and it really didn't help. He thinks that maybe because the designs are really coded information (.pes) and not just a photo there is a limitation in memory to how much can be shown in windows explorer. I am not sure if I understand what he is saying.

If the 1.8Tb storage is free storage (available storage) I think that it's a matter of memory which could be not enough to support all the files in the same folder. Enquire if the memory in your computer can be upgraded, if it cannot be upgraded, another solution would be to divide the files in specific separate folders or sub-folders so that you have more categories of files with a smaller number of files each. I hope to have been clear enough.

Yes, I am trying to eventually create subfolders.for specific design types. That, unfortunately, is challenging because of the files freezing up before I can scroll thru all the designs to see which to send to the subfolder I have just named. It won't be a perfect solution since I never know what I'd like to sew out until I see it but at least I might be able to see more of my designs that way.

Hi
Mine does the same have no idea why, so I just click back on the folder and continue what I was doing. It is annoying but I have got use to it. Asked our techie and he said not to worry about it. It works and I am one very happy chappie. LOL

Sorry for you but glad to hear someone else has the same problem and it is not just me or my computer. What do you mean by you just click back on the folder and continue. I have to close out ( or the computer closes out for me) but when I go back to the folder it seems as though the problem occurs again, but even sooner than before. I can never get thru to the end of all my designs.
