Thank you, Cuties, for all your prayers concerning hurricane Ian. I lived in Fort Myers for 35 years and the beach was our favorite place to go. I still go there once a year. I am heartbroken to see the devastation not only of Fort Myers Beach but all in Florida. So many without electric, running water and no place to call home. Many now have no jobs. I have heard from most of my friends, and they all have destruction but no physical injuries. The photo is of FMB after Ian. Upper right corner brown and white building is the condo I stay at every May. The walk to the beach would take less than 5 minutes. Tears in my eyes. Hugs and flowers to all, Suzanna

Sorry about the duplication of my comment.... this internet is very sensitive, and I tried to delete the duplications, but my old brain not grasping how I can do that.
One thing that I have missed over the past 5 days is to have my coffee while I look at all of the beautiful projects done, and the freebies of the day. LOL

This has been a trying time for all of us living in the areas hit, plus many who have family members in those areas. We were without power until last night. Still had no internet, or Wi-Fi, until late this afternoon. Trying to get things cleaned up and need to go out and start picking up the debris from where the wind, literally, stripped the leaves from the trees. We have a lake behind us, but luckily it did not come into the house. But it did come up a good 8' plus from the 22 inches of rains we received, and the feeding from the creeks and other lakes.
Thanks to all of the many that have issued prayers for all those involved in this disaster.
Cyber Hugs to you all.

The devastion and impact on people is hard to comprehend. While a lot of people evacuated, they are probably wondering about what, if anything, they have to come home to, let alone if there even have a home now.

Such devastation causes people to either rise up and overcome or give up. It’s so sad. Those without insurance will never recover and those who are insured will have a slow process. Insurance companies will be overwhelmed with claims, process of recovery is slow and people need shelter in the meantime while waiting on settlements, contractors and supplies. We all know supplies were already delayed for whatever reason, so how long will recovery take. They need normalcy after such shock and sadly they won’t have it soon enough. I feel such heartache for all the people. My heart is broken 💔 for Floridians and my love to all suffering.-Toogie

My hubby and I were both raised in Florida - we experienced many hurricanes, including Hurricane Donna! The destruction here is the worst I have seen in Florida and many people lost their lives. I so hope everyone gets the help they need. It is so very sad!

My heart goes out to all involved. I know we in NW Fl are all having flash backs to the devastation of Panama City from Hurricane Michael which is still recovering. We know what they are now facing. Be assured all of FL is being mobilized to help all who are in need.

The destruction and damage are immenz, hopefully there were not so many deaths. The enormous devastation only gives an idea of the power of the storm. My thoughts are with those who have lost everything, I hope they find strength for a new beginning.
