On Sunday 6 February, Sue Dewsbury is holding a mass 'Smock a long' on her Engineered in Stitches group site. For those who do not know, Sue has used her excellent digitising talents to create some very innovative designs that are literally engineered in fabric. In her early days of digitising she shared her creations and the designs here. Since then she set up Engineered in Stitches which one has to join and the designs are still shared but one is asked to make a donation. The money donated goes to St Martins Hospice which is in the area Sue lives in. What a brilliant way of using ones talents for such a excellent cause. Scotty, Sues friend spent her final days in the Hospice. Scotty was also a member of Cute and I enjoyed meeting her at one of the visits that we had to the NEC for a fabric show in the UK

So for those who want to make a smocked dress for a little girl on the 6th with their embroidery machine go and join in and know that your donating to a great cause, plus creating a super child's dress. Or just go along and see what great designs that Sue has engineered for embroidery machines

I very much miss Sue's wonderful digitizing talents. Good to hear she and her website is still going strong.

That is the only site I miss since I closed my Facebook account. I am fortunate enough to have already sewed a smocked dress for my great granddaughter and it was amazing how fast that came together. She explained it so well.

Sue has a amazing clarity with her designs. Many new embroiderers have joined the group who havn't sewn out the dress and were asking questions, hence today
