She also had a sewing machine method and it is almost identical to how I mend jeans. I use mesh or fusible mesh stabilizer for my inside patch material.

What a lot of work, looks great but not for me. Give me my machine any day "G"

I like that very much also, but too much time involved. I have taken out a side seam to machine embroidery over a tear on jeans.

Very creative and pretty.

It looks great, but I'd rather use a sewing machine for a quick fix!
