We're getting the remnants from the tornados in Kentucky. Just high wind and heavy rains. Heard a couple of gunshot sounds and thought, well, it's deer season. Some dummy's out in the pouring rain to get a deer. Then I realized it was probably two transformers going out. The next gunshot sound was in my back yard. A 40 foot plus pine tree had fallen. I'm counting it as a Christmas gift from Santa, because it's dead and down and I don't have to pay a tree guy to take it out because it's not across the drive, but completely in the woods. Hoping this passes on before dark. Storms in the night are scarier.

Being a country girl at heart the first thing I thought was "great free firewood for the winter". Then I saw the damage and I said "Oh damn", just before Christmas, getting a tradey will be like hens teeth. Glad you are all ok, items can be replaced but people take a little longer to heal. Hope this is the end of the bad weather and nothing else takes a hit.

Early this morning we had a part is a tree take a bit of our deck out. We were lucky that it didn’t hit our house.

I know you are thankful. It sure could have been worse. Where are you located, if you don’t mind saying? I think at least 5 states with damage.

The photos and stories coming in are heartbreaking. Such devastation! These people need everything basic, along with all our prayers. My heart goes out to them.

Be safe...Thank God here in Tennessee we are safe. No downed trees, just winds..
