I once changed all the screens in a pop up camper! My brother-in-law Douglas worked on the highways. While working they came across a whole roll of screen. It must have fallen out of a truck. Anyway he brought it home and hubby and Doug thought I could change our screens as they were getting bad. I was crazy enough to do it. Looking back, I shoulda just shot them both!-lol- at least you’re getting paid!

18073313852If you do a chair cushion, next time they'll bring you a whole sofa to do. Be careful! I took a course in bra making but I've never told my friends because I wouldn't do anything else but make bras for people with difficult figures!!! I took a two day course in making men's pants and made my hubby one pair. He thought the rise was too high. Well, that means tearing apart and re-doing the waistband and zipper and pockets area. Forget that!! I'd rather save money sewing for me (easy customer).

Once had a neighbour knock on my door to see if I could replace a zip in her sons steel capped work boots. Her comment was I know you sew so thought I would get you to do it.
I directed her to the boot repair man.

lol as if .One time i went to the boot shop and asked him if i could see his boot sewing machine .It was so cool the shape of a boot of course lol
29723Carolyn, I get the same thing. I just finished this summer upholstery for a glider for my granddaughter's little baby's room. I had to have help getting it done, but I got it done. Never to do again!
