Hi all my Cutie friends, It's been forever since I've uploaded any of my projects. I've been making quilts. Some are for my quilting group called Sew & Sews. We give quilts to local families who are going through something tough. I make Hug Quilts for kids who have Koolen DeVries Syndrome who are going through especially tough things too. Then, I make quilts for gifts for family and friends. I try to incorporate embroidery designs either purchased or that I digitize - at the very least the personalized label. First Pic is the wall quilt I made for myself - It represents every cat we have had, and some not - like the Mona Lisa cat and the Bird Cat of Alcatraz. Don't look too carefully, lots of little errors. Then my bathroom quilt. There is one where I used those Bible and flower designs from Embroidery Library. A kitty in the corner quilt. A civil war fabric, log cabin quilt for my brother. I usually make pretty simple quilts, machine quilted by myself. The little doggie was added to a quilt I made for a little girl and it just happened to be just like her own dog! She has seizures every time she sleeps. I have had so much fun!

It really feels good to give them to people and they don't know which of us made them. It's a great feeling.

This is quite a selection of Quilts, I love each one. The receivers will be so happy. Thank you for continuing sewing for people that could use a quilt to keep them warm.

I love, love, love what you are doing and all your beautiful Quilts! Thank you for showing us. My husband has been helping me all week long to cut precuts, from 2 1/2 inch all the way to 10 inch. I know we have cut a few thousand 2 1/2 inches, that I will turn into quilts. I think I counted a little over 60 (10 inch squares) we cut and I had about 75 we had cut, before this week. My drawer I keep them in is full so I need to start stitching.-lol-I love scrappy quilts!

That must be a very very large drawer!!!

Thanks, Toogie. Most of these took that long especially the ones of plain blocks. I've found most people are really impressed with even the simplest of designs. So much fun.

Thank you. I do enjoy making each one different. The pastel one with the kitties in the corners, though is the third for a family with three little girls. I am so happy to hear they are finished having babies. 3 kitty quilts all the same is enough.

I just wanted to tell you also on the Kitty Quilt... I used 26 different kitty fabrics to make the whole thing. Each block took me about 4-6 hours to digitize, stitch out and then remake for the ones that just didn't make it the first time. Now I need to add one more kitten to the Ragdoll kittens. WE got another one, 4 months younger. Bigger kittens are Jenni-Lee, Rocky Poppy and new little guy is Leo Lionheart.
