A view from my sewing room window Rainbow Lorikeets .There is a bird bath under the old clothes line.

My Husqvarna Diamond embroidery machine is a victim of the covid lock down .Took it up to be fixed early June they rang to say it was fixed but we were in lock down for 2 weeks ,then a month & now it could be months.
The machine kept on saying it need a rest, well it will be a very long extended holiday be the time It comes back home.A $38 lead was the problem.

Hi Judy, we've got our pesky Kookaburra back again, he's been bashing my back glass balustrade. He's been away for a while, but always manages to come back early Spring and of course it's only 2 weeks away for us here in Newcastle, like you down where you are. We get Lorikeets every afternoon and Eastern Rosellas. We haven't seen Sparrows here in Newcastle for years, those damn Minor birds chased them away. We saw lots in New Zealand though. Love Chris

So sorry to hear about your machine. That must be extremely frustrating. Do you at least have a backup machine, I hope? The birds are lovely. We live along a bayou and get to see quite a variety of birds, though not as colorful. Unfortunately my sewing room window is small and has an obstructed view.

Pigeons have been trying to muscle in on the Lorikeets but they get chased off.I noticed the sewing room windows have pigeon poo on them .

Thank you.Use to have better views but norfolk pines have around the area have grown very tall & more houses have blocked some of the views.

Well now this is such a lovely sight I’m afraid I wouldn’t get much sewing done! Beautiful birds, so colorful, I could watch them all day.
I can’t imagine being without a machine. Hope you are able to collect it soon. Have a nice day- Toogie

Pity your machine can't be classed as essential item for your mental health and be delivered to your front door as a no contact delivery like the groceries .
Hopefully things will get better in your state soon.

Love the Lorikeets on your clothes line at least they are something to smile about.

Once husbands doctors appointments were over & we had the car back from the smash repairs I was going to see if I could go up to get it, but Newcastle went into lock down. They usually help to load it into the car

What a beautiful sight. The part of the world I live in you only see them in cages.

Once we would only see these types of parrots in zoos or pet shops but over the years ,droughts ,fire & other weather conditions have sent them to the coast looking for a better life.

That is truly a lovely view! I'm so sorry to hear about your machine. I can't imagine having a machine in its own lockdown and being unable to rescue it for the foreseeable future. I hope you are able to pick it up soonest. This world is so crazy right now.

The Delta strain was brought into Sydney by the pilots of a Fed Ex plane. The pilots were infectious ,the driver who drove them to their quarantine hotel caught it ,then he passed it along. The pilots were here for 24 hours.
Just shows how easy it can spread

Love your birds, so much more colourful than our sparrows!

Sorry about your machine. Hard to be without one, isn't it.
Fortunately I have a service contract and the technician comes around in a van/workroom once a year or when necessary in case of a problem. Has been servicing my serger since1992. Now looks after that same serger plus my HV Ruby plus my Bernina.

I hope your lockdown will end soon!

Love the lorikeets sitting outside your sewing room window. I look down on to the main road passing through where I live and people walking past.
Sorry to hear about your machine and hope you will be reunited soon.
I took my machine to have a quick check last week when I went to collect my grand daughters for a visit. Sadly the bits of machine are still there and I am home and the planned collection hasnt happened...

The birds come into our yard because of the trees ,so many of the trees around us have been knocked down so developers can squeeze as many villas ,town houses or whatever onto a block of land which had one house on it.
Some machine parts are hard to get especially now covid is causing delays all over the place.
