If you want to know if your neighbors kept the phone number you gave them when they moved in, stop by the firehouse and ask the firemen's help in getting your kitties down from 17 foot high perch in a tree. I've been hearing from folks all afternoon asking if all is well. Bubba and Skye had their first adventure outside ever. It did not go well - over 16 hours in that tree. I tried calling and coaxing and shaking their bowl of food and finally tried the water hose (I know some of you are shaking your head no). Nothing worked. It took the firemen the big truck, a tall sturdy ladder, fire jackets (scared kitties claw), a short hook and a long hook to assist the cats in getting down and the cats were neither amused nor impressed. Now, two hours later we are having a thunderstorm and they are safely inside. Bubba is hiding and Skye has claimed my tv chair after catching up on food and water. This girl knows how to get attention and petting.

Goodness. What an adventure for all of you. Am so glad that the firemen were able and willing to help those scared kitties. You must feel so relieved to have them back safe and sound. Here's praying they don't decide to go on another mischievous extra-curricular activity!

Oh my! You must be exhausted yourself. I'm so glad you and the kitties are safe inside. I hope they decide that inside is much better and safer than outside after this scary adventure, And I'm glad the neighbors called. We all need good and caring neighbors.

I am emotionally tired. Bubba ran off into the garage afterwards and wouldn't come to me, even with food. He was so scared. He spent 48 hours without food in a space where he was able to travel on into the basement and out through a vent, so I didn't know where, when or if I would find him. Finally hit upon putting Skye in the carrier and taking her down there with me, where she cried and cried and cried and out he popped. He still ran from me, but when he came back to the bowl to eat, I scooped him up. We all took a big nap in my chair and they were little knitting machines for about 3 hours.

Gosh what a lot of excitement for one day. Glad you furbabies are back safely. Hopefully they won’t go to extremes in exploring again.

Wow that is a lot of excitement for all involved. Thanks to the fireman kitties are save.just in time to be save from the thunderstorm. I can just imagine how your phone blew up. Big firetrucks in the neighborhood will always cause concerns. Glad your neighbors cared.
