UPDATE: He is now home from hospital, his poor neck is cooked on the outside and he has 2 more weeks to go of daily radiation ....2 more chemo treatments too....he has a speech and throat therapist coming to his house several times a week as he hasn't used his throat muscles in 4-5 weeks and docs don't want these muscles to atrophy and for him to lose the ability to swallow........he is suffering depression as well.... keep praying!!!

Hi Vikki Tell Boomer to get some Miaderm cream on line and use that before and after radiation. It is a cream developed by a radiologist and oncologist. I can attest that it works great. I did not get one burn from the radiation I had to go through. IT is worth the money not to suffer bad burns. Prayers are still going up for him.

Thanks so much for the update on Boomer. You tell him we won't give up on praying for him so he can't give up on us!!! I'm not surprised he is depressed. Hopefully, he is getting help for it. I found the folks who came to the house for me also helped me to find the strength to keep fighting. Even if he can' do much talking, keep in touch with him. It helped both of us to know people still cared.

Yes, it is so important.....we are messaging through facebook since it is hard for him to talk and Jim is keeping tabs on him by texting him on his phone......

Prayers coming your way for you and Boomer. We lost our daughter, who had just turned 49 in Decembe,r to a fast acting cancer. She had only been diagnosed with cancer 6 months before in May.

I will let you all know how he is doing...they had to bring in a special surgeon to put the feeding tube into his stomach...he is a big dude and his liver and some other organs were blocking his stomach....they got it in though and are at least feeding him now.....
