Ok stop showing off, LOL Oh Queensland this time of the year is beautiful.
Our grand-daughter moved there some 5 years ago for work, and loved it unfortunately she had a very serious accident and had to return home to the West this year. Right now she is complaining about the cold, will take her at least one more winter before she gets use to it. Sadly she will never be able to return to work, and at the young age of 41 she is finding it very frustrating.
Enjoy the lovely scenery and the weather, it always rain in Queensland, the two times we went it poured down for a couple of days, one thing I would not recommend is visiting there at Christmas time, oh my the humidity was dreadful, even the locals were complaining. LOL
Hi Sewmadau, I think you've read my post incorrectly and you've got the wrong state and country!
We are in Queenstown, New Zealand where it is really cold, no humidity at all.
I'm with you though about Queensland, the humidity is terrible, as is our home town of Newcastle in the summer. Love Chris
Looks like you are having a wonderful holiday!
Hi Kim, yes, it's been so lovely, unfortunately we have to come back to reality. Flying back home tomorrow and then to get Mum and Miss Lily (dog) on Monday, then back home to Newcastle Tuesday.
Trev has enrolments for the new semester which he has to do on Wednesday, Love Chris
Beautiful scenery. You are just so photogenic.
Thanks Sarah, unfortunately I have had to keep my sunglasses on here. It's very glary and as I have Glaucoma and had all sorts of surgery etc. done on my eyes I need to keep them on. They have been running constantly too due to my dry eye syndrome! Don't ya just love getting older?
It's wonderful to see you and Trevor looking so relaxed and happy. Snuggle up in that pretty grey fur poncho and enjoy all of the beautiful scenery and every minute of this wonderful vacation.
Thanks Karen, we are so lucky to finally have been allowed to come here. This was last year's holiday but due to Covid was postponed and now there is another scare in Sydney. I hope we can get home tomorrow. Love Chris
Love the photo's, have a great time. Your lucky you are over there away from our latest epidemic stay safe and have extra fun for those of us that can't get away yet.
Hi Marian, yes, we are getting information on the TV here about the events happening in Sydney.
We fly in tomorrow evening (Sunday) about 5.30 and then have to hire a car to drive to Goulburn, should get there about 9.00, stay the night, then get up and drive to Holbrook, where my Mother has been staying with my sister Jewls at her holiday home. We will stay Monday night and then drive back home to Newcastle with Mum and her little dog! Back to normality! Julie has to get back to Tumby Bay (South Australia) before Saturday 3rd July to get her partner who has been in respite since Saturday 12th June. Love Chris
Beautiful pictures - love your grey poncho! Have fun - you deserve it!! Hugs!
Pretty Pictures. Could you send the rain to parched California? Wishing you a continued great trip
Hi Angie, it's amazing how much rains falls in this country, Queenstown alone gets 1427 mm | 56.2 inches per year!! Not like us Aussies where we have water restrictions quite frequently. Love Chris
