They are beautiful!!! I run a cat shelter too and kittens are scarce right now. I have six adults and six kittens that were born last week. This is late for kittens season and usually by now We are up in the 30s . I guess the cats socially distanced themselves too HEHE...

Folks must be so much more responsible in Colorado than they are in Texas. We are overflowing with unwanted kittens. When a feral cat brought her 5 kittens onto our deck to live, we could get no help from the animal shelter as they were already overwhelmed. Two of the kittens disappeared, but we are now taking care of Mom and 3 of her kittens (now cats) as well as our 2 boys. Everyone has been fixed, so we won't be contributing to the over population. Again, your babies are so adorable! Have fun!!!

Thanks, it is chaos! They jump and fly through the air! We have to be careful where we step, and open doors and I've made sure there are no threads where they can ingest them.

Apparently you repress the stress of bringing everything to safety that could break and still get disassembled. Fortunately, this stops after a year and then you have a well-behaved house tiger. Probably you come to nothing more, because you have to supervise the two all day, much play makes tired. I wish you a purrrrfect time, hugs Maria =^..^=

Thanks, Marla, at this point they are just adorable, if they weren't so cute, it could be easily be chaos. Truly, with a climbing structure they go flying through the air with their tiny claws ready to latch onto whatever gets in their path. Just amazing! So much energy!

We thought about the Maine Coon too. We read they are good hunters as one of their characteristics. I think they are just beautiful and their fur and faces are incredible. But.. we have two parrots and weren't sure that would be a good combination. With our other kitties the parrots just told them "I have a beak and I'm not afraid to use it." But those kitties weren't known for being good hunters. A squirrel got in the house and the two siamese hid under the bed, and the Ragdoll was chasing it all over. How does your Maine Coon play? How big is he/she?

Unfortunately my Ginger got sick and stopped growing at five months old. After the castration her trembling has decreased, but what disease she has, I do not know despite four vets and two veterinary clinics. She is weekly on the scale, because she constantly loses weight (I would like to have the problem) and gets several extra treats to keep her weight (2.5 kg) reasonably. I had before only "normal" shorthaired cats and my beloved BKH, in any case this will remain my only longhaired cat.... my vacuum cleaner fights with her hair. The little one is cute as a button and gets along with my old cat who couldn't stay alone. In the house I feel like I have a dog, she is always by my side and luckily calmer, now she is one and a half years old, you see her at my embroideries.

She is a mix of Mainecoon and scottich fold, in our country Mainecoons are bred huge (one meter long and 10 kg) and often have a heart defect and don't grow old, that's why I didn't choose a purebred cat ..... how to do it...is wrong, and still have a sick kitten.

OH no, I am so sorry she has been so sick. I think there are lots of defects in hybrid cats. Ragdoll get kidney disease. We are going to do all we can to make sure they drink lots of water. It is heart breaking to lose our babies.

At first I didn't know about the colorings of their faces, with the. DBVVVV WQQQQQQQQQ1QQ (JennyLee just walked on the keyboard) I thought they onkt came in the bicolor and then the pattern that looks like a siamese. But thee faces are charming my heart. Ragdoll are born all white and then their colors come in. So we don't know the final color they will have for about a year or so. Evidently if they are in the cold their colors get darker...

Yes I have 3, they are all now 12 years old. 2 we got from our local SPCA and the other one we rescued off a wheel of a motor vehicle at a shopping centre. She was just a little ball of fluff.

Gerry, Thanks, They go from being super snuggly to suddenly taking off on whatever wild idea comes to them. Then just as quickly they drop and take a nap. I had totally forgotten how busy they are.

Thanks so much Chris. A sweet fur baby can help fill the gaps in our hearts. When I come into the room they run to greet me - and then dash away. They go from being little wild animals to then be smugglers. the little one climbs up my chest to come bump my nose - then he's gone.
234253Can't tell how you will tell them apart in a hurry! They are darling. My two are still dashing and kittenish, though beginning to approach adult size. Never had a ragdoll. They look easy to cuddle and SO photogenic.

Thanks so much - we had a Ragdoll before. They have sweet personalities and follow their people around. They have these deep blue eyes and they stare right into your eyes. Then this long fur is slightly rough and doesn't matt. We don't have to brush them, but they love it. they are floppy and cuddly - like rag dolls. We just lost our last kitty about 3 months ago, so. I really NEEDED some babies. I think I've taken about 100 pictures so far in the week we have had them!
