Shirt embroidered with Reverse Heart by embroideryweila.com [weila] as she digitized it. I used her 5.5 inch size with baby blue lace sandwiched between 2 pieces of fibrous wash away stabilizer and my t-shirt floated and pinned to top of that. It stitches out fast and is easy. Stitches are superb. Cut slit carefully between stitch lines. Used Variegated Cotton thread for final decorative stitches around the heart. I do wished I'd have had a darker piece of lace but used what I had.

What a wonderful project! I like the look of this. I just finished a sweatshirt for my mom, and embroidered a giant bouquet of roses on the front, for her birthday. If I would have thought, I think this type of design would have been much more striking. But Mother's Day is quickly approaching, and I can do that for another sweatshirt. So thank you for the inspiration!!

You are quite welcome. It stitches out so fast and I like how the t-shirt kind of crumples and ripples. Would be pretty on the back of a shirt also, or, if you're good at lining up like a border it could be done as a bottom of a t-shirt and cut close to the 'V' of each heart that would give a great effect also.

I do like the looks of it too and it takes me a while to get up the energy to say 'Today is the day I'm getting my 'stuff' all gathered and uncover my machine and do something. I hope Weila likes it.

Very nicely done! I enlarged it so could see the nice detail of the variegated thread. I just love that thread.

Thank you. Bought spools of thread, some at a time. I am gathering designs that are line quilt look motifs and trying to resize to at least 6 x 6 inch and embroider on black felt. Variegated looks so good on black felt I think. Only 2 of those done so far. Decided to put on this shirt. Just wished I had a darker shade of lace. Will have to buy some snippets of more I guess, just to have on hand.

I know reverse embroidery has been out years and years and did some a good years back on the sewing machine. I think a person could use a few layers of fabric and do this also as a raggy applique look. My brain is spinning with ideas.

Nice subtle touch, kind of like tone on tone, it make the pretty variegated thread around stand out. Great job. Thanks for sharing

Thank you. That was what I was going for was the decorative stitching to show up. Just wished that lace color showed up better also. I am going to have to buy a quarter yd. of some laces I think. I like show through but not a lot of show thru, if you know what I mean, lol.
