Please thank your husband for his service! I'm sure that there are a lot of men who have problems related to their army service. I'm hoping that he finds the right treatment for this. Seems like there are more options nowadays.
I am so very sorry to hear this. Treatment these days is just so much better than years ago. Look after yourself so you can be strong. Hugs Sarah
I’m sorry to hear this after him sacrificing so much for all of us. The comment from killiecrankie is encouraging. My dad had bladder cancer and did well for many years thanks to VA. Was in Korean War. Has your local QOV presented him a Quilt for his service? We are truly indebted to him and appreciate his service.
My dear Toogie, Did your dad keep his bladder or have it removed and a stoma put in? Hubby is un decided on which way to go. Any information would help. Thx
So very sad to hear this, Cori...So many have been affected by Agent Orange. Thank him and your family for his service. Thank you for letting us know and keep us posted...thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
HI Cori, I'm sorry to read about your husband's diagnosis. I do pray that he can be cured of the disease. As others have said thank him for his service with the Vietnam war. Such heroes all of them. God bless you as you face the battle alongside him. Love Chris
It is awful news but with our modern day medicine so many different cancers can be beaten. My husband had bladder cancer years ago & had treatment which involved a hospital visits weekly for 6weeks .The treatment worked & he yearly check ups but now doesn't have them any more.It was only detected because they were looking for kidney stones & the tests showed bladder cancer.
That is such good news....That is the same reason he went to the doctor to see if he had a kidney stone. God Bless both of you. Thanks for the encouragement.
My dear, Did you hubby keep his bladder or have it removed with a stoma? Pleas let me know.
His bladder is still working fine,I forget the name of the treatment but it involved putting some liquid up through his penis ,when he got home lying on his back on the floor with his feet up high resting on a chair seat for 2 hours before he could urinate .The toilet had to be thoroughly cleaned with bleach afterwards. This treatment was once a week for 6 weeks or longer I forget now because he has other health problems.
He did loose a kidney to cancer.
I am sorry to hear of your husbands bladder cancer. I know of 2 people who had bladder cancer and treatment. Both at this time are cancer free.
They were not in the service. Is he going to the VA? I am praying he will have a suscessful treatment. Please tell him thank you for his service.
Oh my, I am so distressed to hear of your husband's health issue....all our Vietnam Vets cannot be thanked enough for their service especially due to all the chemicals they had to endure while fighting....I have 2 friends who are both fighting different health battles but both are due to agent orange.......I pray for all these heroes!!!
Thank your husband for his service. So many of the Vietnam Vets have to deal with the after affects of agent orange. I am so sorry about your husbands diagnosis. He and you are in my prayers
Thank you for posting this. I know it has to be a very difficult time for you. Please know many of us are and will continue to pray for you and your hubby. And please keep us informed of his progress.
So sorry to hear about Hubby... Prayers are coming your way for you both.. That agent orange was nasty stuff for many brave soldiers.
