Hi Gerry, this is just magical. I don't get to see snow very much unless we go to the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales, or of course overseas. And, as we know, overseas travel is off for quite some time!
Trev and I are down in Tasmania till tomorrow and then back home to Newcastle. It's been very windy down here in the capital city of Hobart and quite cool for summer. I love the cold and so am not looking forward to going back home to our heat in Newcastle. Thankfully we have air conditioning to keep me cool. We don't have very cold winters, so I don't use the reverse cycle air conditioning for winter as much as we do for the summer. Love Chris
Reminds me of Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening by Robert Frost. My second graders memorized that! Beautiful!
thank you for the reply, I love to take pictures and this snow was a welcome object.
I have a hard time getting the pics of snow to look bright enough. It is bright when I'm in it, but the pics never show that. Do you think it is something about the camera and the way it uses light?
I think it also depends of the weather, and on which time the picture is taken....I took this one, early in the morning about 9.00
Nice picture! Looked the same here, but did not last till midday.
Your picture looks just like a snow scene on a Christmas card
Beautiful picture of nature. I love snow pictures because we rarely get any , I guess. Also, it reminds me of where we lived newly married and it did snow. However, I couldn’t be out in it now, I just freeze. Love the snow on the side of the tree. You captured a beautiful scene.
Just beautiful. I can almost smell the air
I've always loved a light fresh snowfall. Beautiful picture and hope the walk was as pleasant as the picture.
Just like fairyland. I have not seen snow for many, many years. Thank you Gerry for this beautiful picture
