Hello Cuties, I have 5 new Barbie outfits to go in Nora’s stocking. Seems like the last two days, whatever I did took me all day. Yesterday I embroidered both quilt labels and then hand sewed on their quilts. I still have to wrap them and some more things, but today I made Barbie clothes. The long pink dresses are some I made Nora’s mom about 35 years ago. Still in good shape except for the elastic thread. I wonder if you can still find some because I need to change it out. I like the darker pink dress style. The fancy one was made when Ashley was on Homecoming court in first grade. I made the doll dress just like her dress. These are Ashley’s old dolls.

I still have to make Avery bibs for her stocking and have no idea at all for Masons. Then I should be through....sigh
I told my niece that I travel with that I made her a pair of yellow shorts today ( she doesn’t even wear shorts) I told her she gets these, because they were too little for Barbie!- 😂🤣 I had to make another pair.

It's so good to see little girls playing with dolls and their clothes. Our Delphi is into stuffed toys and her ipad games! Ophelie is into lots of Netflix shows and her mobile! Great work Toogie, love Chris

I have Ashley's old dolls in the hall closet and a plastic bin of clothes. Nora will get them out and sit in the middle of my guest room bed, playing for hours. She used to lock Gus out -lol- but now he's bigger it's okay if he comes in the room. Nora brings her IPad once in a while.

Beautiful Barbie outfits. Nora will be thrilled. My late SIL used to make Barbie clothes and sell them at the local market. She was a whizz. Needed no patterns. By the way you must have found your Barbie patterns. I found a cutting ruler yesterday that had been missing a few weeks. Feels so good when you find your lost items. Hugs

I was tickled most to find my quilting clamps! The lady I bought my quilting machine from gave me a zip tote with accessories in it, so I put them there with the two I already had. Yes, I updated my other post to say I found my Barbie patterns that same night. Thanks for commenting Shirley

Wow! I agree with what Angie and Mops said. You must be exhausted because how else could you do so much. But oh the smiles and delight on those faces will all be worth it. What a nice trip down memory lane with the dolls and dresses too.

The exhaustion comes from trying to think of something to make for each of them. I have 8 hung this year. As they reach eighteen, I don't hang their stocking anymore. I didn't decide to do that, until I ran out of room to hang them, so a few of them got removed all at once one year. You should have seen the older ones faces when I told them that I was just hanging the little ones, on up untill 18 year olds. Caleb laughed because by then, Taylor was in the picture and had been looking forward to having a stocking! I thought, well I am glad they like their little surprises, but I had to do this, because it does get costly buying candy and little gifts for so many, besides their real gifts.

My mom made them too, for Ashley and others. Like I said these were patterns cut from tablet or loose leaf paper. I made a few patterns for mom when she wanted to try making some clothes. I didn't know if she would be able to handle something so small, because her right hand and arm were messed up from a wreck years ago, but she was determined. It did take her a long time, but the joy she bought Ashley must have been worth it to her. When Ashley was little, before school age, she would go stay with momma a few days or a week as she got older and on school break. Thanks

So pretty! I can almost hear Nora's screams of excitement when she gets them.
Your productivity makes me feel quite lazy in comparison! Do you ever sleep the last few weeks?

I actually sleep more since Covid. I guess it's the laid back atmosphere of knowing no one is coming and I'm not going anywhere, who knows. I am staying on schedule because I wanted to be through this week sewing. I made it. Mason just might get a few dollars or more candy, though.

I am tired just reading what all you've done. Maybe I was tired any way - cleaned carpet yesterday! Wishing you and all your dear ones a beautiful Christmas.
