Machine update, added to

Today a new bobbin case arrived in the post and I have spent the day on displacement activities (housework)
I have just fitted the new bobbin case holder, resewn the design I have used and it stitched out fine. So I have sent pics to them to see before and after sewing. The new bobbin case holder is on the right or top
Eventually I have spoken a time or two with my brilliant dealer and sent some pictures of stitch outs of the same design a few times. Yes there is a problem and a new bobbin case holder is being sent in the post. Were both in lockdown at the moment so we will see how the new part works. Thanks to all who have asked about my new machine.

If I have a machine problem it's most time the bobbin case so I always keep a couple of new ones on hand. I also keep some emery paper or even a nail file in case I feel a burr. I will smooth it out myself and it is a quick fix unless the Needle it's self has pierced the bobbin case all the way through.

my machine came with two cases, each had a color dot for a type of sewing.

Considering the cost of our machines this would be a goo idea. But on thinking the machine is embroidery only. Welcome to Cute and hope to see you back with more advice

Isn't it amazing that both humans and our beloved machines have to be monitored by the internet! I hope that the new bobbin case does the trick for you so you can start getting those projects finished.

The internet is a life saver for many. Facetime doctors consultations, collecting machine embroidery designs, the list is endless

I am keeping my fingers crossed that the new bobbin case will be the solution. These machines are not inexpensive and should have been checked before leaving the factory. This had to be disappointing. Hope your bobbin case will arrive soon.

That's great news Caroline. Glad you got the problem fixed, let's hope that you can now get to sewing. It's a great time to sew with Christmas only 57 days away! Just sayin' he he he. Love Chris

Like many others I have a long Christmas sewing list on the go. Not as organised as you are starting in Jan

I really hope it is the only thing wrong with it. It can be so discouraging just being locked-down. Let us know how it goes. I look forwards to giving you flowers on your new Projects as soon as it is working as it should.

If it is the bobbin holder that's the problem, this will be an immediate fix. I am amazed how often they sell a machine (all brands) with a burr on the bobbin case. Where's Quality Control in all this? Glad he knew.

Well we hope that this is the problem. Trying to sort by phone 80 miles away is interesting

I am still having trouble with the Ellisimo Gold-Dragonflyer suggested a while back to change to the other bobbin case that came with the machine, I did, it didn't help--I too, de-burr throat plate if needle strikes using a jeweler's ream. My problem stems from the 1st or 2nd tension disc. I have 3 thing unscrewed off the head and front of my machine. Even my husband is stumped and he works on all sorts of tender things--computer geek and great mechanic. My thread suddenly gets tight and then the spring guide stays in up position and if I don't catch it the thread snaps so I sit there and fiddle with things the whole time I am sewing making sure nothing gets stuck. This is the only way I can embroidery anything at the moment.
