AMAZING STORY.
Some of you know and have prayed for my granddaughter over the years. She had a kidney transplant 10 years ago donated by her brother and 2 years ago she battled with Krohns decease which was complicated by the fact that a lot of the meds for Krohns would have interfered with the rejection drugs she needs to take. Now she is pregnant and over the moon excited about becoming a mom. She was so anxious to find out the sex of the baby, that she hired a private company (they were faster) while waiting for the blood results from the doctors. She posted the exciting moment when a blue puff appeared (new thing here in the states called gender reveal) it's a boy
Now the blood test from the doctors came back 3 times but inconclusive. She was told that there could be numerous reasons for it like a vanishing twin, extra chromosome etc. Nothing good......... till one of the doctors asked her about the transplant if the donor was a male or female. When she revealed that it was her brother the doctors decided to do a different (or more detailed) test. We were all on pins and needles waiting for the result.
BABY IS FINE, NOTHING WRONG AND IT IS A GIRL!!!!!!!!.
Apparently something she inherited along with her brothers kidney messed up the normal testing procedures. Amazing isn't it.
Test are not always accurate. All the test hubby had showed blockage so when doctor did The heart catheterization he thought he would be putting a stint. He was very surprised when he came out and told us the good news.
