Another lovely quilt in the making. I was think of doing the same style of quilt but changed my mind and doing the plan blocks scrap, salvages and pieces of fabric. Happy Stitching Brenda Lea :-)
This way I ended up using the strips are in this link

Please show us how you made yours. Thanks for looking
Looks great! What about removing the machine tape, is there an easy way to do it? Love the idea.
The tape removal is very easy for me. I gave a strip to my husband to remove while sitting there watching re-runs. It took him longer so I didn’t bring him anymore. 😉thank you
I had a neighbor when I was a kid who pieced on old new papers and such , we do some what like that when we paper piece.
Found it, but I was looking for fried chicken!
I found it also.😊😊😊
Great idea for using the strips. The different color centers will make it even more interesting
Just laid them out for photo, not sure what squares or layout I will do but probably something similar.
Do you take the paper off before you stitch to something else or leave on till you've finished the top?
Here's the car game our grandfather taught us, but no pretty quilt and no prizes. You counted all the goats, mules and donkeys you could see outside your side of the car, but every time there was a graveyard on your side, you lost all your goats, mules and donkeys. At the end of our trip, Papa paid 10 cents per animal to the winner. It was his contribution to the sanity of our parents. He called the game Graveyard. He had 18 grandchildren, but our family traveled the most.
Interesting, very interesting...never heard of this game. Bet it did have you on your toes for the reward😉
It was mentioned at the link below. I have quite a few strips ready to use and was thinking of alternating them with plain white, but I like your squares better.
These are the 10 inch squares. I have more child related squares in the 6 1/2 inch size. I also thought of recycling all blue jeans for the large squares. Drawback is blue jeans make such a heavy quilt.
Blue jeans would make a good picnic quilt though, no batting, just backing.
I forgot to say thank you for finding who the Cutie was that first informed us of this technique. I thought it may have been Angie but wasn’t sure.
