Hi Cuties, just letting you know our nephew got his electricity restored yesterday afternoon. It has been a month since hurricane Laura. My grandson Dalton text me last night. He had just made it in from work at 8:30 pm. He works putting the lines back up. He said it is still a lot to be done, itโ€™s so much devastation. I worry about him so high up and overworked. Just told him to be careful and of course, I told him I love him.

Hope all of you are well. Toogie

Such devastation caused by Laura and others recently and first res-ponders have such a huge part to play in restoring the lives of those impacted by any tragedy....please let him know how much his efforts are appreciated even by those who have not been personally impacted... We need them all...

Wow! Toogie, what a long time to wait for electricity to be put back on. So thankful for our utility workers. I pray that he will get plenty of rest after working such long hours. Please thank him for me. Love Chris

I can not imagine how much it has cost him for fuel to run the generators. Also, mosquitoes are so bad after the storm you canโ€™t sit out very late or early morning. I know the heat was unbearable hot, especially at night trying to sleep with no AC and no breeze though a screened window. So glad he is powered up again.
I sure will pass on the message to Dalton. I know he has worked 70 hours in a week before and said itโ€™s all he could do to come in, shower, & go to bed. I said what about eating?๐Ÿ˜ณ He said the company would either provide them with a card to eat on, if any place was open, or sometimes have a big cookout for them, if they were going straight from one storm to another.๐Ÿ˜ž

Yea on your nephew finally being able to rejoin the 21st century. I'm sure it has been a very difficult month. And a huge thanks to Dalton. I wish he knew just how much he and the results of his work is appreciated.

Yes, Iโ€™m sure it felt like a new world having power again-๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‚ and Sam wanted to go home last week even though no electricity. Iโ€™m sure he missed his dad and the familiarity of his own home. Ashley said the day Sam went home, she had forgot to tell Grayson and until he was about to go pick him up to bring to their house, for his shower. ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜‚

Iโ€™ll let Dalton know how appreciative most people like you are. I just want him to be safe, when working long hours, he canโ€™t afford to be careless.

It has taken a long time for sure Laura, but so many lines and poles were down. He is the last one in our family, that I know of, to get power restored. Our son is voluntarily going tomorrow to help cut up and clean up some trees that are down from the storm. I will tell Dalton, thanks Laura.
