Some of you have probably wondered what had happened to my floral x stitch. What a nightmare it has been with the framers. I took it to be framed just over 4 weeks ago. When I collected it, nothing was right. It had not been stretched properly, it was not straight in the frame. The frame was not what I had chosen and there was what looked like a piece of string under the glass. I was furious. A week later I went to collect again. Still not right. Today I just had enough and took it home. It is still not right as the material against the mount is not equal on each side. Every edge is wrong. I have hung it up but it will be traveling to Johannesburg at Christmas to go to my framer there, who knows what she is doing.

Your work deserves a fantastic frame and I'm glad that you are making the effort to get it framed correctly. My framer just closed shop and I dread trying to find another one who can do things correctly.

Hi Sarah, I actually love the colour of the frame and understand your frustration with the sides not being equal. Let's hope your Johannesburg framer does a first class job. Love Chris

I agree, there is nothing like a framer who knows his/her craft. It makes such a huge difference. I hope we will get to see the finished project when you bring it back home after Christmas. But I think your work is still stellar in spite of the framing fiasco.

Your work is still stunning. I have found when hiriing someone to do quality work you do not always get the quality work expected by you. Sounds like your second person will do a great job for you.

Very nice, but very annoying when things do not get done properly. Hope you have better luck with your next framer. Hugs

Aargh! You have my complete sympathy. Craftsmanship just isn't what it used to be.

It is so frustrating to pay to have your work framed and them twice, not to have it completed the way it should be! But, you do need to have it done the way you want!!! This is such a beautiful piece - it deserves to be done right!!! Loads of hugs, Laura

I can see what you are upset with and it would be difficult to accept on any level. They had 2 chances to get it right. I doubt you will go back there again as I would not either. It is a beautiful piece and deserves to be mounted and framed correctly.

I can understand your frustration. After all the hours you have put into this project just to have a framer do a sloppy job. It still looks awesome and hopefully when you go to Johannisburg this piece of art will be treated properly

How frustrating for you...I hope they didn't charge you for such a pitiful job...It is lovely, but I can see why you are so disappointed. All that time and tedious effort to create it and such a sloppy job by the framers... Hopefully, it will receive it's due framing at Christmastime...

Lovely to see this finished but very sorry that you have had such hassles with the framers. Quality framing is so important as it shows finished work off not detracts with dodgy framing
