Toogie, another beautiful quilt. Someone is going to love to be covered in this quilt. Love it Sandy
It is lovely Toogie. You are such an inspiration!. Congratulations on staying busy! I know a lot of people who have fallen into the "don't feel like doing it" category and never seem to get to finishing all those UFO's during this pandemic. Hugs.
I know what you mean. It is so easy to get in that mind state of not doing anything and soon go into depression. We must fight this state by keep on doing even though that means doing something at home. We can’t just give up. We must work on our mental health by doing activities we like whether it’s walking around our place, any needle projects, calling to check on friends, without dwelling on our present living limitations anything productive to keep our minds and bodies healthy. Thanks for your kind comments.
This is wonderful!! I think, Toogie, you must be making two quilts a week!! You are totally amazing - you are one of my heroes!! Hugs, Laura
Oh goodness Laura!
I did make 3 tops and quilt this one in 15 days. Remember though I am retired and my husband and I are staying home. My niece ask me how I can just go gro shopping every 6 weeks. I told her I buy enough when I go out and even though I cook everyday and sometimes we eat leftovers, it’s just the two of us. So I can sew the rest of the time. I ask hubby to play rummy so he is entertained but he rather watch reruns😩of Gunsmoke.😂
Ps. We have medications delivered so we just have to go out for the groceries and gas the same day for lawnmower.
Oh, Toogie, I think you have outdone yourself with this one! What a terrific quilt! Whoever receives this one is truly honored! Hugs*, Deb
I was outdone with this one alright. The panel and the Star fabric gave me the devil but I overcame & worked it out. Glad you like it and I may incorporate more flags in quilts. They make up pretty fast and are a good size. Thanks Deb
You did great as usually. Amazing how you had the perfect fabric. I mean the star one. You could have not found a better one for the flags.
When I did those Thank You panels and the Gettysburg quilt, these fabrics were sent home with me including the stars. I don’t think I used any Star fabric for any of those quilts. Thanks Angie for looking and encouraging.
Very nice... I am sure this will make some veteran very happy...
Another very happy person who becomes the new owner. Your usual high standard of work - well done
Thank you C but I almost gave up on this one. The panel and Star fabric suppose to be cotton but it sure was flimsy & stretches. It kind of reminded me of those Hawaiian shirt material.
