This is what I did after the children left home, you will not be sorry. Only I use the smallest room wish now I had used the larger bedroom.

Good for you Mary! I have a dedicated sewing room, it was a bedroom. But now it is too small. I am considering switching my sewing room with my bedroom. Maybe this fall or the next quarantine!

Sometimes change is difficult, but you will be thrilled once you start using it. Years ago when we still had kids at home, I kept saying as soon as son moved out I would have a sewing room. Husband finally said what are you waiting for do it now using the guest room that gets very little use. Daughter in college and son moving out on his own soon. So I converted the guest room and never looked back! Enjoy your "Woman Cave"! Hugs. Nan

You will love having a sewing room. Will keep the rest of the house tidier. Enjoy setting it up.

I never had a sewing room so many years sewing and embroidering and always sewing in the kitchen table. and you can imagen how messy my place looked. My son is the only one who visited me and now with the coronavirus who knows when can we have a normal life again. .

Please show us when you get it done. My friend Kathy just did the same thing. She lives by herself in a 3 bedroom. She tried to have her sewing space in her large utility room, but soon realized it wasn't big enough. A lot of friends would come in through the carport/utility room too, so now they can't see her mess, when working on a project.

I couldn't do without my sewing room. I can just shut the door and walk out with everything ready to go next time.
You get more done when you don't have to pack it away every time at the end of the day.

Congratulations Mary! Good to have your own "hang-out: room. I made sure that we had an extra bedroom when we were looking for a new home - just for my sewing room. I had one in our old home, but wanted more room. Now I wish I had a larger room here too. LOL

Donna, I don't think a sewing room is EVER big enough...not for me anyway...

NEVER

Amen to that, I have a whole bedroom, and still not enough room.
