Just a short update....I didn't realize how many things get affected by the nose surgery....my head, ears, teeth and nose all hurt....throat hurts you but I know that is from the airway tube.....I slept 5 hours straight in my recliner last night, but missed a pain pill and now am behind the pain againšŸ˜„

Glad to hear you got to sleep for 5 hours in your recliner, they are wonderful. I'm sure you won't forget your pills from now on in, I know I would take mine an hour before I was meant to to crossover the threshold. We always told our patients in the Dental surgery I worked in to take them before they were due! I hope you won't need them soon. Love Chris
P.S. I hope Sammi is doing o.k. too.

I guess that is why they are called "ear, nose and throat specialists" They should have added the teeth in that title as well. I hope you will not miss your pain meds again. Hopefully you will not need them pretty soon. Sending you hugs.

Glad you got through this and sorry to hear about the pain. The suggestion to set an alarm sounds like a good idea. Just know that we all care about you. I also hope Sammie is doing better.

I had fallen and I broke my nose in pieces! It was horrible! The amount of padding that they removed once they fixed my nose was unbelievable! Please be careful because I have thinner skin on my nose now and I already had 4 spots of skin cancer burned off on my nose! Really keep the area sun blocked year round!

I remember how much pain my dear hubby was in with similar surgery - put an alarm on to remind yourself to take your meds - it is so hard when you get behind - please feel better!! Rest - rest - rest!! Hugs and prayers, Laura

I'm amazed you are able to think, let alone type. I'm glad you were able to sleep in your recliner, but don't miss any more of those pain meds. But I guess you don't need to be told that. hehe Keep resting and healing. Our thoughts and prayers keep going up for you and Sammi too.

I don't think they tell you this stuff in advance, but the good news is that ice cream will make you feel better!

Be careful of the ice cream. Dairy products encourage the nose/sinuses to make mucus.

I did not know that! How about chocolate!
