I am finally back up and running. About 2 weeks ago, my DH decided to update my laptop that has my embroidery software and all my designs on it. I didn't think much of it as he is the computer guru at his place of employ. Surprisingly, when I went to do some embroidery, all that was on the computer were my designs. No software to be found anywhere. I asked DH to redownload, but did not have any luck. Several texts to the software company revealed that DH had downloaded the wrong version of software. Tonight I finally have the correct software and can embroider again. I was beginning to go into withdrawl!!!! Good thing I have been making masks to distract myself! Hope everyone is safe and healthy.

That must have been frightening. I am glad you were able to retrieve your software.
I currently have a desktop that is running XP, and a laptop with windows 7. Neither is ever going on the internet. For my daily activity I use my windows 10 laptop. This is the only way I am able to keep some pretty expensive programs that windows 10 no longer supports. It can be maddening.

I would NEVER let my husband do anything to my laptop. He moved it off a table the other day and removed the card reader... I was muttering and spent ages getting it to work again. I think he now knows that its better to ask me to move it to a safer place. His iPad is his and occasionally I look at it but the laptop is mine. So I know exactly how you must have felt. I am scrub making and all is fine though my daughter has had the Corona virus due to being a nurse. She is fine now

I remember when I let me son delete the non-essential files on my computer and he deleted something that was, you guessed it, essential. It was a major headache to get back to usable.

Oh! Debbie, some hubbies can be a worry!! Glad you got everything back on line so to speak. Good luck, and I hope to see some of your projects soon. We are all well and fit. I'm loving being home as I can sew to my heart's content. Love Chris
