Went shopping yesterday, toilet paper wasn't on the list At Big W they had packs of 45 rolls for $59 ,it was fun to watch people struggling to pick them up & get them into the trolley.Potting mix has been had to find at times ,so my trolley didn't want to steer properly.

Woolworths has one side of a aisle just for toilet paper & it was half full of packs of 12 rolls.I wonder what happened to the toilet roll hoarders.Think they might of switched to hoard flour which I haven't seen for weeks.
No toilet paper came home with us.

Same situation in Belgium; hardly no toilet paper and no flower to bake bread...
But if I can mention about my job... it was almost impossible to buy headsets to use with the computer (needed for people working at home ; like callcenter)... I started at prices from 40 euro and ended buying 15 pieces (no more left) at 133 euro !!!
Crazy times...

It is amazing what is hard to buy
Flour is hard to buy here but that maybe because of the long drought ,bushfires then floods which affected the wheat crops

Flour, Sugar, Baking Powder, Baking Soda were all on Mom's list - and I was lucky enough to finally find all of them (different places but now she is good for a while)!

If a item isn't available one week it often takes up to a month to find it.Fresh food is plentiful but often dearer than usual

I've noticed that now it's sugar, flour and powdered milk is hard to find. We had been rationed to 2 packages of beef or pork or poultry but that has now been lifted. I'm so glad that I keep a ahead in case of a hurricane. It has been very helpful during this time of hoarding by people. I hope all are healthy and finding ways to keep our sanity while quarantined.

Usually I have one item open & a spare, now it is 2 spares. If a item is on special at a good price ,I buy a lot & get shock when they run out & have to pay the usual price .

It is interesting what one finds here on Cute. I have not come across such large packets of toilet rolls before unless one is buying in a cash and carry for use in a b&b, hotel etc.
Potting mix is in short supply in the UK but I see/hear that there is a delivery in progress at the moment as its for sale in the building behind our house. I need to phone them so we can have a delivery over the garden wall as were isolating

I was amazed at the size of the packet.A toilet paper manufacture in Australia has 2 factories working 24 hrs a day & put on more staff.Wonder why there is still a shortage ,only 25 million people in the whole country.
Potting mix being hard to get here ,I can understand.Water restrictions because of the drought, then bushfires & smoke ,then floods meant lots of plants & gardens were neglected .

I manage to find Sugar and Flour at a Wholesale place locally but TP and Tissues are still hard to get at Aldi, unfortunately we need to go to more than one supermarket to get the barest of essentials.. Sad times still. :(

We don't use much sugar ,a kg probably lasts a year.

It would be interesting to know what the hoarders were thinking of when they were buying the toilet paper. I do wonder how long it will be before they will have to buy toilet paper again. Flour and eggs seem to be hard to find these days. There is enough food in Australia if only the hoarders would use some common sense.

My husband keeps on about getting toilet paper but we have plenty .He has forgotten that the ones we buy are double length so they last longer.Eggs are scare but there is a poultry farm on the way home that sells their eggs direct to the public but I only buy their oranges which are now between seasons.

I always bake my own bread but noticed flour is almost impossible to come by nowadays. And there seems to have been a run on breadmaking machines as well. Crazy, as there's no shortage of bread. However, you can get rid of a lot of frustation in kneeding manually :)
