Can't help but love a man who knows his wife's desires and what makes her happy. You my dear are blessed to have such.
Interesting side note: My husband says when the cargo ships come in the bay, certified pilots board the vessel to pilot it into the dock. The currents in SF Bay are such that you need a special certification to navigate them properly. This conversation came up because we were talking about whether or not any of the ship crew might go on shore. He did see the ship dock but he doesn't know if anyone got off, he was kind of busy sailing.
Most major harbours have pilots that take over control. Boarding can be quite spectacular (and dangerous) when there are winds 7 Beaufort or higher. The harbour pilots' boats are so tiny compared to those enormous cargo ships.
Had to look up Beufort. Found this: Beaufort force 6 (mean wind speed exceeding 22 knots)
Yesterday it was 2 knots in the morning and 22 knots on his way back in.
Wow it got windy! When I was reading I thought airplane pilots. Lol I did not know ships had pilots.
House move on the agenda to accommodate new stash?
How adorable for him to think of you... and cover the costs! Lol!
Well, wouldn't he be surprised if he was right and that actually was your fabric order!
ππ€£ perfect!
Wait! Will they even let that dock? I thought all the shipments from China were stopped.
The shipping company is based in Taiwan, we donβt know where the ship has been of course.
I wondered if it came from elsewhere... Are you in lock-down for the virus? I know some cities are "closed" until the panic dies down.
No we are not in lock down. We are being careful with hygiene. When my husband came back from China on Jan 18 we did not have all the virus information yet. We had just started to hear about it on Jan 17th. So he wasn't even careful to quarantine himself. It wasn't until about a week and a half later that they were talking about quarantine and by that time his 14 days were almost up. He and I did not get sick thankfully.
I am very glad to hear it!
I know there is a lot of panic in so many areas. Good hygiene is the key to preventing/surviving any illness.
