It is so good that y'all worked on this together. Memories last forever! Quilting is expensive for sure and then if you want it done a certain way, they call it custom and up the price. Most like to use programmed designs not free hand anything or work with rulers takes longer, even though may not be stitched as much. Takes a lot of thread too. A business quoted me $350 for a queen. I wasn't wanting any fancy stitching, just more following the block design. I will do it myself one day. Good job Savannah and Gramma Lobsinger!!!
I wanted to ask. It looks like the quilter did stippling or meandering but then I see what looks like hearts. How did she quilt it?
big hearts little hearts only i did the shams in Stippling:):)
I must have looked at the shams with stippling then. I knew I saw stars too. Thanks!
Well, Grammie, you and Savannah have made a lovely heirloom. I hope she treasures this forever. I was thinking that is a pretty hefty price the quilter charged you but read where she is the only one around that does it. You're right--they can charge what they want. No competition. Kim did a fab job on your label also. I like stripes vertically also--my 2 cents worth.
Well thanks 4 your 2 cents worth hugs
This is so pretty, Carolyn. She'll love it!!
She did most of the top and i watched lol So this is her first Quilt with a little help from Grammie as she calls me
Well we all know that stripes should go up and down as they make one look slimmer he he he! Great work the both of you and Kim for her always available help. A wonderful work of art, love Chris
I don't know what i would do without her She a dear friend!!!
Chris that is exactly why I don't WEAR stripes! I can't find any going the way to make me look slim-lol
