Scissor memories of Dennis tonight. Went to Hobby Lobby and found two lovely pairs of large Singer fabric cutting scissors, aqua handles, bent in the handle for easier cutting, and double ground, stainless steel. They were 2 for $15. Tried them out tonight cutting up shirts for quilts and they cut like BUTTER. Wow! What an experience. Guess my others need sharpening. (They just became backup...) Whee!

Here's another great post originally put up by 'rescuer' on 1st March 2014 about our love affair with Scissors!!!!

Dennis's response was fabulous! Love Chris

Thanks Chris. I’m sure there was another scissor post on the number of pairs we owned. Dennis just had a couple. I enjoyed reading the post. Very funny.

I revisited the post as well and smiled a lot. Dennis, though somewhat brusque, could be such a gentleman. We, as a group, seem to value the tools we use in our trade.

Sounds like you have a bargain. Enjoy using them. I bought myself a small pair is scissors at the weekend with bright pink handles. They fit very neatly into the pot of sewing bits I take to the craft group on a Monday. Thought of Dennis as I bought them. I have quickly tried to find the crazy posting on scissors but haven’t been able to find it.

What a lovely way to remember him with a new pair of scissors or two.

Wow! Betsey, that is cheap. My Kai 7250SE Micro serration scissors cost me nearly $100.00 Australian dollars. Love Chris

It's nice to remember Dennis this way. Did he ask us how many pairs we had? or why did we need so many?
