Update-Hi Cuties, if you saw my last sewing post, I have been making clothes for Nora's girls. Well, she has left a couple of them with me, while I'm sewing.

Today I had to call the doctor to come, as one was very sick. She was admitted into the hospital, but is already feeling much, much better now that the doctor has checked her out. (Her hospital gown is just as airy as ours, but I see she got to keep her undies on!)-lol
Red (I don't know her real name) was so impressed with her doctor, she has become a doctor too, all in a day!

A couple more dresses for them, too. I need to move on to a different dress pattern-lol-even though they are all off the same pattern, I tried to make each a little different. I fussy cut her pocket, on the pink bodice. I do hope you like playing with me and Nora's dolls!-lol-Have a nice day/night where ever you may be-Toogie

Updated with the green scrubs. I don't know, but it's something about this dolls eyes. She looks like she is frozen in a surprised look.... Of course I would be surprised too, to get sick, be hospitalized, AND become a doctor all in one day!-lol

I am so sad. None of my girls (3) liked dolls and so far no granddaughters do either. I loved playing with them when I was little!

Me too. My youngest liked them but not the oldest daughter.

They are ALL so adorable! You are not supposed to have that much fun in one day, even with a trip to ER. I especially like the ties in the back of the hospital gown! Makes me want to sew for a doll.

My six-year-old granddaughter doesn't like dolls. :-(. But she does like to make quilts!

Jan my oldest daughter never like to play dolls but my youngest made up for it. The oldest ones dolls always looked new and you could tell who the other dolls were for-lol Ashley carried 'Ann' around with her arm around Ann and holding Ann's arm. She had the arm on that side hanging but Ann was her favorite doll.
Make some and give to a little girl at church. You both will feel great and she will be so surprised!
Thanks for looking. Hope you and hubby are well.

Can one ask is Nora going to be able to play with them too?

toogie by toogie edited 28 Jan 2020

I do have a blue one made now, too I'll show with some more I am still making. My daughter wore blue scrubs at one clinic and lavender in another.....I guess I will have to stop sewing for them when Nora comes and takes her girls home. I know they are going to miss me (lol) and I do hope Nora has as much fun with them as I've had.

Thank you Shirley. That's what you can do when you have a sewing room to play in. I do dread cleaning it up afterward....sigh

Gorgeous. That will add hours of play! I just found a doll of one of my daughters that is dressed in atop and nothing else. She's calling Dress me! A call I can't ignore :).

Oh good, now you can play too! I wish I had my old doll. Her hair was kinda long and I remember brushing it a lot. She was in a pink thick flannel bunting with a hood and it zipped up the front. I think it had a ribbon strap that was somewhere by the shoulders, maybe, that you could carry her by. I don't remember if she had a name, probably not....

Thank goodness your sis got a Barbie. Now you have skills for life. I have some of my daughter Ashley's Barbie clothes here and she is now almost 39. She took some home to Nora. My mom was handicap from a car accident and she made some of the Barbie things. Some were crochet and some sewn. Thanks for looking and commenting Anita.

Well, I thought you had flipped and gone over the edge, till I remembered your daughter had surgery this week and probably had one of those special gowns with the seat cover view. Good job again and you have given Nora a chance to practice out her stories about hospitals and doctors and patients.

Nora hasn't seen them yet. By the time she comes, I may have more. Not getting any quilts done this week-lol

Too cute! I have all kinds of doll patterns, but I haven't made a one. Sewing all of that tiny stuff just makes me cringe. Yours are all so cute! Guess I ought to make myself before the GDs outgrow dolls. LOL

Just look at it this way and you will be glad to sew them...they are not as small as Barbies!-lol-It's just like sewing for real people, only smaller...

It helps a lot if you sew things flat as much as possible. So add the sleeves and any embellishments before stitching the side and sleeve seams.
