Bernina Western Australia today sewed up a storm , they put out the call for ladies to come and sew for a Animal Rescue centre we made over two hundred little bags and pouches for abanded baby kangaroo's , bat's and birds all so badly burnt by these terriable fires so many of the baby were found still with their Mums , it has been heart breaking. I was so proud to be part of this effort.

Well done - great team effort! - every small contribution by many people can quickly grow into a big one.
As Mother Teresa once said, "Do small things with great love". That's something our Cuties are very good at.

Good onyer! That's so wonderful!

I started sewing pouches today and thought I might go on Facebook to try to enlist some helpers.
It's a little bit daunting cutting, ironging and sewing them on my own. I have enough flannelette to make around ninety but I only got fifteen finished today, so disappointed in my efforts.
Huge hugs n bunches of roses, Meg

Just remember every little bit helps and all the little bits add up.

I believe making 15 is a great number! You are just one person so this is a great amount for you to make! Don't try to do everything. It will take all of us stitchers to make enough items to help the animals, not one person! People here in the USA are stitching too as well as those in many other countries. We all want to help and together we can do it!

Good work, it is heart breaking what has happened to all the wildlife in these fires as well as all the folks who've lost their homes.

God bless you for your work in aiding these poor animals. I have made a donation and I Iooked into making and sending the fireman bears, however, since I live in the US - if I were to make several, I think it would be cheaper to buy them all a seat on a plane what with postage being what it is! šŸ˜ž

Deb every donation is so greatly appreciated as medicines, ointments, surgeries, bandages, feed and staff to do all the treatments, all cost money and the need will be ongoing for some time to come. God bless you for donating.

They have broken down the USA into different hubs. People send to the US address for the hub we live in and they will ship them all together. You can find all this information here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/a... there are tons of information for people everywhere on how to get stuff where it needs to go. I can afford to send a package to my hub here in the USA but can't afford the cost to ship directly to Australia. I hope you find your hub!

Wish I were closer, so I could join the effort. But did donate to the Wildlife Fund. If I were to sew pouches... the mail takes nearly 10 days to reach AU so sad.

Thank all who volunteered
