Hello friends and support system....got my splints & stitches out yesterday.....can't describe that feeling of all that! Found out he removed a bone spur, then fixed the septum then he said he had to enlarge my maxillary sinuses as they were almost shut....so he wants me to do lite duty for another week then I go back to see him in a weeks...I did stitch 4 lab coats for one of our local hospitals and when I learned me head to the side a bunch of water ran out one of my nostrils....I wish I could have seen my own face as the shocked look had to be hilarious.

Thank goodness I was not leaning over the coats when it happened....I have to do a neti pot saline rinse twice a day and apparently it was hung up somewhere? Getting tired.....going to rest....thank you for so much love, support & prayers.....this is me & Sammi

No wonder it was rough Vicki . That was a lot to have to go through. It will take a while but you'll be amazed at the difference in your breathing when you are completely well. God bless!

Hi Vikki So glad all went well removing the splints. It must feel a whole lot better breathing again. Now you will get your appetite back and you are on the road to feeling better. Sammi is taking care of you right now... Amazing how they do this when we are down. Just do as the doc says and rest... You will heal quicker. Take time for you right now.
HUGS

Glad to hear you are recovering. Don't let Sammy get too comfortable though as he will be bugging you to sit so he can be with you more often. Ask me how I know (LOL). Hugs. Nan

I was afraid having the splints removed might be painful. Hope the doctor had some relief for your throat pain! As Chris wrote - take it easy - truly, each day will be better! Hugs, Laura

I forgot to tell you, I asked the doctor why my throat was still sore....he looked at it and said I had "road rash" from the suction that someone used to clear debris out of my throat. Wouldn't you think they would use suction devices that protected delicate tissue. At least today it hurts mostly when I swallow or yawn....big hug to you, Laura

So glad you are on your way to a full recovery. It's a funny feeling having your nose run like that I'm sure. As I've said before it's amazing how our bodies react to certain things.
Take it easy Vicki and it's good to see you relaxing a bit. What about a picture of you once you are feeling up to it? Love Chris

Thanks, Chris....I hate having my picture taken, in fact I didn't realize I was in the pic, I thought Jim got just my legs...

Yes I saw that you are fair haired. Love Chris

I'm with you about the pictures. I also hate having my picture taken, probably because most of them look like me. I've had a few taken that turned out pretty good - must have been someone else standing in for me.
