The better Merlin feels the more likely,he will try to get outside although winter is coming,so he might not be so keen to escape.
We have learnt if the cat is inside & isn't allowed out ,shut her in another room before you attempt to go outside.Maybe you can get Merlin to wear a harness.Did you go to the Super Vet ?
Thanks for your reply. Merlin has been out 3 times today in the rain. He isn't a fan of rain so has happily returned when called. Trying to keep a cat inside in a open plan house with two children and a husband who leaves outer doors open what ever the weather is a constant struggle for my daughter. What is the Super Vet please?
I have one of those husbands. If it suddenly becomes cold or I can smell smoke ,I know the door is open The dog or cat can't open a glass sliding door.
I thought you were in the UK.It is a British Vet show which follows Professor Noel Fitzpatrick in Kent who designs made to measure special joints ,plates etc (similar to what humans have) to fix animals who have hard to fix problems. He is often the last resort before a awful decision has to be made.
Pheeew....what an epic story! Sounds like you will need a harness for Merlin!
Never, ever assume where a feline is involved. You will always be kept in the dark. Glad he is okay. But for the record " a cat never belongs to you, You belong to them and they do not mind letting you know this.". LOL
I know that cats are their own masters and belong to no body. But they do provide us with lots of entertainment and fun
Wow. That was some adventure. I am so glad that Merlin is OK. I do not blame him to take advantage of his freedom.
Thanks for replying. He has attempted a second escape this evening so his leg is much, much better but from viewing the xray not fully mended
So glad it all ends well. Having cats myself, I got a few chuckles out of the story. I assume someone learned a lesson and it wasn't the cat.
It has been a crazy day today with him. My daughter says she cannot keep him inside for ever and his brother comes and goes freely as does my cat that stayed with the house when we moved. Thanks for replying
