hope and prayers for all victims and for all helpers and firemen, who are doing such a brave and important job. May they all be safe
My brother is on the outskirts of this. He is safe, but has been without power because of the shutdown by PG &E. The firefighters work so hard. Looks like you have a wonderful son!
What is happening is so horrible it is hard to watch the news. California is being emptied by these events. A lot of people are coming to Colorado and we are seeing the effects of super growth. I pray for the people and the firefighters to be safe.
Seeing this picture will remind me to continue in prayer for him and his fellow fireworkers.
No wonder you are so proud of him. The firemen are the real heroes aren't they. I pray that your son is o.k. and it's one of the many causes close to my heart.
We've got dreadful bush-fires along the coast of New South Wales and I woke to a hazy smelly smoke filled morning today.
The New South Wales Rural Fire Service like yours are heroes in our eyes. We are in the worst drought in history and we have fires everywhere up the east coast, of course we are heading into the summer months so we are not looking forward to the heat. We've had temps here already this week up in the 30's celsius!
My prayers for your son and his team and all the firefighters around the world. Love Chris
I have been thinking of you since the fires have gotten bad. God bless your son and all fire fighters and people losing the homes.
Yes, we've been reading about the fires and the winds and the utility companies quite a bit recently. So devastating! Glad to hear that you are okay and pray that your son and others stay safe. We fear hurricanes here, but I think fires like this are so much worse.
Glad to hear you are safe and God bless your son and all the men and women who risk their lives for others. You have every right to be proud of him. You all are in my prayers. Hugs*
Of course you are proud of him. He puts himself in harms way - doing his job and keeping those fires at bay. I honestly don't know how they do it - the conditions are so bad, with the winds as they are. Please tell him that he and his buddies have been in my prayers and will continue to be! Hugs to you and yours!! Laura
Would you please thank him from me. These firefighters are the bravest in my eyes. Through exhaustion they still fight to save homes. We can not thank them enough.
My daughters in the San Francisco area are without power. Friends of mine stayed with me a little longer then planned, because of no electricity. at their house. So many people have no where to go as they are evacuated and surrounding hotels are full. Most gas stations can not pump gas and the ones that can have huge lines. Stores have to close and all this not for a few hours, but days. We can only pray that these brave men and women at the fire lines will be able to control the fire soon.
Your son is a brave and honorable man, God bless him and keep him safe. And good for you for letting your stinky friends come over to shower. That is also a blessing.
Firemen around the world have a tough job and society is grateful for their efforts. It has been on the UK news that there is a severe fire and power is turned off to many, many homes as a preventative measure
Yes, I have an embroidery friend that hasn't had power since Saturday mostly. She got it back for a few hours last night but it went off again this morning.
I have another friend that's coming over for a shower today because her water is powered by an electric well.
You have every right to be proud of him. Firefighters are heroes in my eyes.
I am so glad you are safe! I was worried about you. Your son is a hero! Firefighters are so very brave!
Thank your son for me. I’m in forested Calaveras County (Sierra Foothills) and I am HAPPY they’re shutting off power and we respect all emergency responders here. Had a place in downtown show a picture of fallen tree from the winds with power lines that hit her house, but the house did not catch fire as the power was off. Another emergency responder said just for this area they manned their phones Sunday and had ten reports of lines down with that wind. The power outages are helping, yet so many complain so loudly. I was out from Sat. through last eve - and on a well, that’s no water (one wall of my garage is lined with milk jugs filled with water as we get outages in winter storms), no heat (eves had dipped to high 30°s F so it’s cold in the mornings), no refrigeration and drained electrical devices. The last is the worst as it’s how you can check for fires and more info. But they had community resource centers where you could re-charge and my library came up before I did so I could re-charge there. Did have a USB battery charger, but it only lasted for one good charge of iPad and iPhone with 8 D batteries. Shopping for a better one - friend has a re-chargable I’ll probably get. Keeping frozen milk jugs and moving 2 to 3 to the fridge (and keeping door closed) meant all the food is cold and good (the bottles even stayed 2/3 frozen). This is our new normal, so sharing how to easily get through outages is on the agenda. :-) Your son is a hero!
