Rainbow Lorikeets are very common in Melbourne suburbs gardens and parks. Taking a picture of this guarded nest was a privilege.

Actually the nest was 6 meters up from the ground, the camera was an Olympus fitted with a good zoom lens.

My next door neighbour has a Bottle Brush Tree in full flower at the moment on her footpath. I couldn't count the amount of Rainbow Lorikeets on it when I drove in just now. They are just beautiful.
You are lucky to see the nest.
