update: It does not seem to be diverticulitis. I have another appointment Wednesday. I pray I am not in pain for the rest of my life.

Oh my gosh! I am experiencing my first bout of diverticulitis! I hope it is my only bout of this extremely painful disease. I was fortunate to be able to see my own doctor versus going to the ER. I did get my machine working again, however going back to bed is my plan for the day.

My husband suffers from this. You will soon learn that certain foods are a no, no and best to keep away from them.

OH dear I so empathise with you as i was diagnosed with this four years ago and if I eat the wrong thing I sure do pay for it.

I have found a tablet called Donnatab does sometimes give some relief from the cramping type pain but the best thing is to avoid eating foods that trigger it to begin with.

Sometimes doctors will give you a list, sometimes they just don't bother as I have friends with it who had no idea about the forbidden foods.

If you need a list you can Google it but some people have different trigger foods, so generally, anything with small seeds, tomatoes, strawberries, passionfruit, etc, some things with skins such as peas, apple with skin on, etc, seed and grain breads, and nuts.

For me, I can't eat even one slice of multigrain bread without I pay the price. I do hope you quickly learn what your trigger foods are so you can avoid them and reduce the number of attacks you have to suffer.
Huge hugs and love, xxxxx

Oh Christine, I'm so sorry about the diverticulitis! That is a very painful condition! Willie has had it. The good news is it is manageable! But, it's still a hard thing to manage. Hang in there Lady, things will get better - hugs

So sorry you have this but it is manageable and I hope you learn what your triggers are and can avoid them. It is very painful and hopefully you will be over this attack soon and be able to play on your machine. Healing thoughts.
