Needing a bit of help. Creative Kiwi have a wonderful new design for holding poo bags in the shape of a pug dog.

My problem is that it says vinyl, the only vinyl here in my part of S. Africa is flooring vinyl. What could I use instead? I also cannot get the press stud things they show. Any ideas or perhaps I should forget the whole thing.

Hi, from East London SA, you can use fake leather, many upholstery shops sell that. I have used it for key fobs also. Happy shopping!

What about some fake Sued or even do a test one on Felt and see how it goes.
Can you go online and get the Kam stud I saw on Ebay a set with the hand grips and studs very cheap from China.

Don't you have skai, or an older handbag you can use?

The first ones I ever made were out of strong felt. But I bet burlap would be great for this!! Would a snap do for the back! Hugs, Laura

No need for vinyl. It is a holder for a roll of bags not the poop 😉.If you want to create a fabric that has more substance maybe put cutaway between 2 pieces of material. Looking forward to see what you come up with.

Hi Sarah, you could also make them in a stronger felt fabric. I like Kampfzwerg's suggestions and I agree with Kim re the press studs etc. I'm sure you could come up with alternative options. Love Chris

Good suggestions for vinyl substitutions below from Kampfzwerg...
Are there any furniture or car upholsterers in your area... Many here have "scraps" of materials they use to re-upholster furniture and the inside of cars that they toss into the trash... They are usually good quality and the price is right! As for the snaps, they don't need to be the plastic ones...many sewing stores carry the old metal ones... no reason they couldn't be used...

Hi, what about a clear tablecloth protector, a rain poncho or a clear shower curtain? Good luck hunting, hugs
