I admire not only your skills, but also your ablilty to plan ahead and actually start working on Christmas projects early! They sure are cheerful and I look forward to seeing your table in December.
When you do FSL coasters, do you put a backing on them at all? I often wonder if condensation from glasses would disolve a little of the wss and make the coasters tacky or stick to the glass.
Thanks Penny. I haven't put a backing on these, but you could. I'll have to wait and see whether or not any of the Champers that may wet them does affect them. Love Chris
Lovely coasters. Glad you made them for yourself. FSL is just way out
Of my league. You are one busy lady, Chris.
😘 Mary
Hi Mary, thanks for commenting. I don't think I'm any busier than most Nanna's these days. Grandparents here in Australia seem to be the 'go to' people for helping out - as most couples work these days before and after school care is so expensive!!!!!!!!!! Love Chris
Hi Chris, yes it is nice to be useful. I have a bag of 'mending' courtesy of my grand daughter.
Hi there was in TM designs on Monday they have some specials at the moment
Cheers
Hilda
They are beautiful. What a lovely touch for the table!
Thanks so much Debbie, nice to see you on here. Love Chris
P.S. Please make sure you look after yourself too, you need prayers for all that you do.
These turned out lovely!! I know you are a busy person - how do you find the time?!!
Hi Laura, well, you know we are all busy, I just do some when I can. I wish I could stay home more, but because of picking up kids from school it breaks into the day! Love Chris
It's beginning to look a BIT like Christmas, everywhere you go... They turned out lovely, especially nice on the red background - have a red tablecloth?
These are so pretty Chris. Charlotte’s favourite flower.
Very lovely Chris can I come to your luncheon, please???
Chris they turned out great. I found that often I have left overs WSS from the larger projects to fill the 4x4 hoop. You did well.
I have collected months worth of WSS and cut them all into nice shapes yesterday and will sew them all together with WSS thread that I’ve got. I ordered 2 more reels from Echidna in Queensland Sunday arvo and they are already on their way! Love Chris
Beautiful really!
How long does it take to make one considering the manual color changes?
Hugs, Roberta
There are about 25,000 stitches Roberta -they take over an hour!! I stuffed one up - almost finished - and realised the thread wasn’t catching properly when I turned it over it was a bird’s nest - so into the bin and started again! Love Chris
