Some days you'd better read a book than do anything else.

In my drawer a tiny baby item had been waiting patiently to be saved: there was a small hole due to a mishap.
So - I decided to embroider a small giraffe head that was on my Brother 190D over the spot. I had a small oval hoop that could be used either vertically or horizontally. Of course it was in the horizontal position and I had to unscrew it and set it for vertical use - which after an argument with the screws that did not like to be undone I did it, upside down. So try again.
Getting the shirt just right to embroider safely took some time but I managed and it sewed out nicely. Not until I unhooped the thing did I notice I had stitched it upside down... So I embroidered a larger version of the same design lower down and hope someone will find it funny...
Well, it's a new day, the sun is shining and I think I can safely water the garden. LOL

Oh Martine, If only you knew how many boo-boos I've made! Glad to hear that most of us have been there, done that. Glad you had a great trip.

This really made me smile. I am so pleased that I am not the only one who makes these sort of mistakes.

I just returned from a trip to Germany - beautiful weather both there and at home. So the garden needs some attention today.

I think I've had basically this same experience. Good to know we're human.

I admire your patience! Some days I have the patience to work through things, other days I think "this is not worth it" and out it goes. Your story is a testament to your determination to make your work as perfect as you can to get the wonderful results you get!

I had a day, of piecing a quilt top, just about like yours. Nothing went right the first time and I ripped as much as I sewed. I am glad your creative side kicked in and you came up with the perfect solution. Bravo for you!.............now don't drown yourself while watering!-lol-Have a good day, Toogie

I certainly did have a great day. And I did a lot of sewing stuff like repairing seams that had become undone, replacing elastic, finishing a few bags.
