Having committed to the brand and the machine, it might be worth buying the full price hoops from Singer. The plastic of all machine brand hoops does dry out and get brittle over about 6 years or so and is subject to breakage with too much pressure. Ask me how I know.

Hi Delia, failing jumping up and down at the seller, (who SHOULD have given you the hoops with the machine), you could try..... and I don't wish to steer you wrong..... but I am pretty sure The Singer XL range use the exact same hoops as the Elna Xquisit 1 & 2 embroidery machines. I know the XL 6000 did.

The links below are for Singer machine hoops and they both look like the Elna Xquisit hoops

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Small-Em...

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Singer...

I can take photo's of my hoops if that would show the detail more clearly for you.

It's not much but it would give you more options to buy hoops as the Xquisit machines have been discontinued for a long time now and people may just want to sell off the accessories as the machines can no longer be repaired???????

Clutching at straws for you
Hugs n roses, M

Just another option, if the seller doesn't have the hoops, you could perhaps try the various Groups on Facebook or Yahoo to find anyone wishing to sell off their old Elna Xquisit hoops.

Hi Delia, I'm Toogie and welcome to Cute! I read your post and wondered...Did he demonstrate the machines capabilities for you, before you purchased? He would have had to have a hoop to use. If not, do you know if the machine even works? I'm sorry to be so negative, but this sounds kind of 'fishy' to me. That's a term we use in USA when someone is trying to scam you into buying something they know isn't good. If you bought online, is there some way through the way you paid to get your money back? I understand you want a machine, but you may spend more money on hoops, only to find the emb unit doesn't work. I hope you didn't pay much....
On a lighter note, I think you will find everyone helpful, caring and sincere here. You have come to the right site, if this is what you desire. Good luck with however you decide to proceed.

Hi again. when I looked previously I checked large embroidery machine suppliers in Cardiff, Edinburgh and Chester. You need to speak to a person who repairs the machine you have and has a good knowledge of it and they will be able to advise you if you can be helped. Embroidery machines are not a cheap purchase and buying a first is a minefield. I chose to buy from a dealer who to visit takes a day there and back. My machine get serviced while I wait as you have said you are coming but any help I need is always available with a quick phone call. I know there was a large Singer shop in Leeds as I lived there for years. I have just checked out on my phone and www.singermachines.co.uk has come up and there is a help facility etc. Check it out and let us know how you get on

The person that sold you the machine either knows nothing about machine embroidery or took advantage of you being new to the craft. It brakes my heart. Without the hoop it is useless for embroidery. Take a close look at what was said about the machine, maybe you have a recourse of getting your money back. I have spend a good deal of time today searching, but with no luck. I really hope you will find the hoop sometime, because machine embroidery can be so much fun.

Try looking on e-bay or Amazon. You might find something you can afford. The singer sites have expensive ones.

Hi Delia...big welcome to Cute! Sorry, I can't be of any help with any further advice as many Cuties have already suggested what I would try... I do hope you are successful in locating hoops for your Singer machine. Very odd that none were with the machine when you purchased it... Again WELCOME!

I know it’s weird, but innocently thought everything was with the machine - I contacted the seller and he said he had no hoops ☹️. Thank you for getting back to me, I’ll not give up just want hoops 🤣 xx

Welcome Delia, I do hope that you can find some hoops to match your machine.
Have you checked back with the person you bought your machine from as they should have had hoops with it?
I agree with everyone's ideas here too - so I wish you good luck with finding them. Love Chris, Newcastle, Australia

🤣🤣😂 a stupid newby that dies the realise she needs hoop to embroider 🥴🥴. Yes seller not interested to help me. And no luck so far anywhere, not even fussed about the price just desperate to get one !!! Even thinking I could make one adapting another model 🤔. Xxx

Don't beat yourself up Deliaches, but it does make me upset when someone can take advantage of innocence. I just hope you are not out a lot of money, but knowing how deceitful the seller was (he should have told you he didn't have the hoops so you could have searched for them before you purchased), I'm sure he is happy with anything he got.

Delia, welcome to cute. I know nothing about the Singers except you will have to have Singer hoops. You are getting a little taste of the caliber of Cuties. We will do all possible to help you. There is no better site on the internet than this.

Hi Delia and welcome. I too am in the UK but have Brother machines and my knowledge of Singer is nil. But 1. I suggest that you look on eBay. 2. Find a Singer shop near you and see if they can help or point you in the right direction. A Singer shop that repairs machines as such shops usually have lots of bits and pieces in reserve and leftovers from unrepairable machines. 3.My third idea is does Facebook have a group(s) for Singer embroidery machines or your specific machine where you would be able to ask for help?

I am just wondering why someone would be selling a machine without hoops as they are a vital part of the machine and its not a embroidery machine without hoops. I have checked out about 5 different machine dealers in the UK seeing what they have but as its late I seem to be going round in circles. I think I forgot to say Welcome to Cute. I hope I have given some helpful advice and please let us know how you get on. Machine embroidery is great fun and addictive

Thank you for reposting. I have deleted your post in Q&A. I hope you will get some help here. I do not have an answer other then try E-Bay. The hoops have to be a Singer product. Good luck.
