FYI for Destiny2 users....I kept having trouble with the tension on my Destiny2. The last problem was that in embroidery mode only, it would not pick up the bobbin thread. I took it in and the problem was that there was lint on the back side of the tension disks. There is no way to clean it from the front. I always take it in once a year and do not use linty thread, but I guess it builds up back there anyhow.

Thanks for sharing this info. It's good for all of us, no matter what machine we use to remember to take out everything we can and clean everywhere we can reach.

Interesting. I wonder if this issue caused mine to only sew 5 stitches and give up. I had to bring her in for cleaning even though I had just done that 6 month before.

Maybe! But I don't think that lint would have caused it to stop stitching totally! In sewing mode, my machine worked fine. It only happened when I tried to do ME. I had it serviced in December, but they may not have cleaned the backside of the tension area. I always ask what they did or how they fixed the problem too.

Is this a bad design fault?. We should be able to keep our machines free from lint regularly, not rely on a costly service.

I had purchased an extended warranty that the store offered, so it covers any and all repairs...even the stupid things I do. I don't think that all stores offer this.
