The machine I have makes great big knots on the back when it ties on/off. I've never put designs on something to wear because of it. Way too scratchy. I just did a design on a sweatshirt for gift. I just bought the fusible tricot to iron on the back, but I never thought that it might come off in the wash.

A prior post about this got me to wanting to know more about just what people do use for to put on the back of embroidery to fix the scratchy back sides. Just how permanent are these backings? What do you use?
